Ailbhe and Paddy | Stunning City Hall and Angler's Rest Wedding

With their original wedding date just a week after the first lockdown in 2020, Ailbhe & Paddy had a few false starts before they finally walked down the aisle at their beautiful City Hall wedding in Dublin, but it was definitely worth the wait! With understated glam the order of the day, the bride was stunning with an old Hollywood style hairstyle adorned with jewels and a fully beaded gown with just the right amount of vintage charm. Bridesmaids in dresses the colour of summer clouds and the gents in black tie added the perfect touches to this truly classic wedding. It felt like walking into a house filled with old friends that morning and I’ve become firm friends with both of their very glamorous mammies! (we could have chatted for hours!) The beautiful flowers were created by Paddy’s talented mum, with roses and peonies continuing the classic summer look. We went for a stroll through the surrounding streets beside City Hall and created some fun urban portraits before heading to the wonderful Angler’s Rest for a warm welcome and delicious food in their elegant reception space. The cheese ‘cake’ by the team at the restaurant was spectacular! I had a wonderful time with Ailbhe & Paddy, and we parted with lots of virtual hugs that I wished could have been real.

Makeup was by the lovely Deirdre Lynch at Angel Face Makeup and hair by the equally lovely Martina King. Both were wonderful to work with and Ailbhe looked like a movie star all day! Music was provided by the talented and all round sound bloke Doug Sheridan! Donal from OC Wedding Videography was my video buddy for the day and was a pleasure to work with. Big thanks to the team at City Hall and the lovely Gemma at the Angler’s Rest!

Méabh and Seán | Glorious Summer Ardgillan Castle Wedding

On a gloriously sunny day in June, Méabh & Seán had the most perfect wedding day. Despite the fact that they had to postpone. Despite the fact that it had to be a micro wedding due to restrictions. This wonderful couple stood with a handful of their nearest and dearest in gorgeous Ardgillan Castle and said ‘I Do’ in a moving but uplifting ceremony (filled with lots of giggles) by the fab Graham Barrett of Spiritual Ceremonies, followed by a private party in Rush. Covid-19 has forced us to look at what is really important when it comes to this special moment and I think Méabh & Seán nailed it! It lashed rain on their original wedding date anyway!

This couple are both laid-back, warm, and friendly - an absolute dream to work with. Their great personalities were reflected in their wonderful choices of wedding suppliers - waves at Graham! - including Brian from Two Paws Video who was fantastic to work with on the day. As a wedding photographer I really appreciate when a couple chooses a videographer who is a team player, as we are both working so hard to deliver the best coverage on the day! Having a great cinema buddy means not only do we have a nicer day, but the couple gets a much better service. Gorgeous wedding flowers were by Ava Flowers. Music on the day was provided by Méabh’s amazing dad on cello, which was so personal and special!

Understated elegance was the order of the day, with Méabh choosing a stunning, red carpet worthy gown (and the legs to carry it off!) with a soft, goddess-like hairstyle, and Seán looking dapper in a timeless navy 3 piece with enough detailing to look right up to date. Add a beautiful baby girl and you risk too much cuteness in the photos!

Jordanna & Damien | Fairytale Irish Castle Wedding

I first spoke to Jordanna & Damien less than one week before their wedding! Even exhausted and jet lagged from just flying in from Canada, I knew we would get along! It felt like I’d known this sweet couple for years! Just a few weeks earlier Damien’s mom Mary (waves at Mary!) got in touch to see if we shot weddings as her son was traveling home to Skerries with his gorgeous Canadian bride (and equally beautiful baby daughter Charlize) and they were planning to get married here! ‘I do’ I said. ‘Great!’ she said and sent them a link to my work. ‘We love your work’ they said, and the date was set!

So on a gloriously sunny day in July, Jordanna & Damien gathered just 15 of their favourite people (and me!) in the beautiful setting of Ardgillan Castle for an intimate, moving and at times hilarious ceremony and pledged their love for one another. With bubbles, champagne and impromptu dance parties, it was a truly joyous occasion, filled with much love and laughter. These lovebirds are such a great team and clearly adore each other. My heart was filled just being in their presence! I took the opportunity to steal them away to the best secret spots in Ardgillan Castle so they could just enjoy being together (and so we could create some gorgeous portraits of course!)

Sean & Martin | Glamorous Dublin Wedding at The Clayton Dublin Airport Hotel

The minute I started chatting with Sean via Facebook messenger I knew this was a wedding I wanted to shoot! He was so sweet and we got along so well that we very quickly made it official! YAY, they had a wedding photographer! (and little did I know that I had two new friends!) They even invited me to their stag party - which was super fun and gave me the chance to get to know all of the important people in their lives! Their big day came around quickly and was filled with gorgeous touches, from their stunning transparent invitations to their FAB Louboutin shoes, no detail was overlooked. Both hairdressers, the gang got ready at the salon where Sean works! Their ceremony was sweet and emotional, honestly there wasn't a dry eye in the house! Surrounded by their seven gorgeous groomsmaids and their dearest family and friends, it was an absolute privilege to photograph this amazing couple as they said 'I do'!
